The Clean Energy Improvement Program lets you finance solar through your property tax bill. No credit check required. The balance transfers automatically if you sell your home. As of May 2026, CEIP is available for residential solar in Beaumont (3.5% rate) and Spruce Grove (3.5% rate plus 7.5% tax rebate on completion; program reopened April 14, 2026, up to $50,000 financing per property with up to 20-year repayment term). Other Alberta municipalities are exploring similar programs.
